“I Hope You Understand” can be seen as the way you view it.
One of the meanings behind this art piece is emotional vulnerability. Throughout my teenage years now that it’s coming to a close I’ve liked some people but I would never build the courage to ask them after what happened in my sophomore year in high school. So it can be expressed as a quite plea in hopes the other person would catch on.
Another meaning can be letting go/ closure. Unfortunately I’ve slowly been realizing that the girl I’ve liked for a long time won’t be mine, and I’ve been having a difficult time accepting that so one of my ways of coping at some point was playing the piano which is why the character in the painting is playing the piano under a spotlight. Throughout these two years I’ve always asked myself is it worth holding on to these feelings, because one day she might feel the same way or something. But in the process I pushed so many people away which became such a bad habit, because I may have potentially pushed away my soulmate without even realizing waiting for someone who I won’t be with.
Furthermore the art piece can also represent wanting to be understood “I Hope You Understand” has represented a time in my life where I wanted to be understood for my actions. It was almost like talking to a void or just screaming at a wall.
Finally “I Hope You Understand” can serve as a self reflection. Past versions of yourself, a mistake, a choice, etc. It can serve as closure on why you made those decisions.

The art piece represents a more dramatic, bittersweet end of a passionate relationship, situationship, etc. It implies for the speaker (The person who wrote the note) is leaving, possibly with regret but also appreciation for what they shared.
“GOODBYE, MY DARLING” - A final farewell, affectionate but definite.
“Don’t Hate Me!” - the speaker acknowledges that their departure might/will hurt the other person and hopes to part without resentment.
“IT WAS WONDERFUL WHILE IT LASTED!” - A nostalgic reflection, emphasizing that even though it’s over, it was meaningful and beautiful.
Letting go of people that have made you feel a certain way in your life is something EVERYONE needs to go through as that’s the only way we end up improving as people. We always ask ourselves what we could have done so things didn’t have to end but we can’t blame ourselves for something that wasn’t worth fighting for. Your partner, lover, talking stage, etc. may have just not been into you as you thought they would. Which is something we all need to accept.
The main idea of this art piece were my intentions when wanting LOVE. I tend to be more old school with things which in this generation is considered corny? Yes I want matching bracelets, I want to go to the movies, I wanna watch the sunset with you. But apparently it’s not something other people want now days. Which is scary thinking about if I will ever find the one for me…

When it comes to making choices in our lives we have to consider the consequences that some of those choices may bring. While your out here making one choice meanwhile something else may be happening or is about to happen simultaneously.
“The Clock Ticks Off” refers to time passing, emphasizing the inevitability of events.
Lastly “ The Fateful Minutes” gives the sense that something significant or decisive is about to happen, possibly ending in serious consequences.

One of the things after I went through this first heartbreak was return to some of my old hobbies, for example one of them was a guitar and I remember recording myself and posting it hoping she would notice. LONG STORY SHORT she never did so I stopped instead I returned to the piano but ended up realizing instead of doing things for other people I started doing these things FOR ME.

When talking about regrets I’ve had in my life I think a lot of it has to do with past versions of myself and what I did during that time. Which led me to falling in love with someone I couldn’t have my sophomore - junior year of high school , it was one of those things where the universe decided to introduce me to the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met. Her natural beauty, her style of dressing, her personality, everything was perfect about her and I still think the same way of her to this day. If I ever get the chance to make it something more I would but unfortunately it’s one of those lessons where we finally decide to change after such a crucial heart break but in the end it only benefited me, may I find the person who will accept me for me one day is something I still ask myself.

This art piece reflects the old times. There was at one point in my life where we had a lot of family functions before it all went down in flames, knowing how some people in my own family had bad intentions while others were genuinely good people who were just there to have a good time. I will never understand how some people can do such TO THEIR OWN FAMILY. May they hopefully realize that they messed up and come forward someday.
